about

London's elusive Cyan341 returns to Uncharted Audio with a sterling new EP of romantically deep and driving techno electronica. You could hardly ask for a better opener than 'Coal Train', primed with slicing drums and staggering bassline pressure bound to leave the 'floor reeling, whilst 'Far From Home' (written in the rice fields of Bali) hankers for the grey streets of Bethnal Green with stirdent dub techno groove and moody blue chord progressions. Flipside, 'Nanakorobi Yaoki' (trans: "fall seven times and stand up eight") pays tribute to victims of the 2011 Japanese earthquake and Tsunami with a Convextion-alike Detroit techno aesthetic, before the sparkling Italo roller 'Space Kitty's Theme' gives a perfectly poppy '80s kiss-off.
